A consulting company was experiencing a high volume of voluntary turnover among junior staff. Through research and analysis, I identified serval contributing factors:
poor management
lack of recognition and engagement
overwhelming workload
fear of asking questions
fear of making mistakes
I solved this problem by creating a scenario-based e-learning module that places managers in a realistic simulation where their decisions shape outcomes. Setting up the scenario this way allowed managers to see the real‑time impact of effective and poor decision‑making within their teams. When a manager selects their response to a question, its recorded and graded. After all scenarios are complete the manager receives a feedback report from the team. The feedback report provides insight to the manager on how they handled each situation. In the report, the manager also has the option to review additional feedback. This feedback provides insight on how they should perform as leaders and whether their choices lived up to those expectations.
After the learner reads the scenario they are prompted to respond with what they would do. The above image is a screenshot of a question slide in the module.
The feedback report encapsulates how the learner responded to the six scenario questions they were asked through the module.
The additional feedback becomes available when the learner selects the Review button on the Feedback Report.
